Jordy Levea has been drawing for as long as she can remember, but it wasn’t until high school that art became something more than a hobby. Her first real exposure to tattooing came from watching loud, chaotic tattoo reality shows like Miami Ink and LA Ink playing in the background at home. She didn’t take them seriously at the time, but something about the craft stuck with her.

She started pursuing tattooing through a rough, unstructured apprenticeship that quickly fell apart. Left to figure things out on her own, Jordy became self-taught, learning through mistakes and stubborn grit. What started off shaky became solid as she slowly worked her way up, building skill through sheer persistence.

Her early work focused on full-color neotraditional, but it never felt like the right fit. When she began experimenting with dark imagery and lettering, it came naturally. More instinctive, more honest. From there, she started blending those influences with her deep respect for traditional Japanese tattooing, carving out a style that felt personal and real.

Outside the studio, Jordy’s interests are as intense and varied as her art: powerlifting, rock climbing, vocal recording, competitive and practical shooting, and getting lost in nature. She’s also a diehard sourdough nerd and happiest when there’s dirt under her nails and moss on her boots.

Jordy Levea’s work is bold, unfiltered, and rooted in experience. Every piece is a reflection of the path she’s carved on her own terms.
