FAQs

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Show up on time, and don't come in running on empty — eating something beforehand keeps you from getting lightheaded during or after your piercing. Wear something that gives easy access to wherever you're getting pierced, and, y'know, shower — you'll be up close and personal with your piercer.

In strict compliance with new York State minor piercing laws and adult safety regulations, documentation is mandatory to check in. You must bring a physical copy of a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport). For minor piercing services, a parent or legal guardian must be physically present. Additionally the minor must present the physical original certified birth certificate to verify identity and relationship before our staff can begin.

How long do I have to wait before going swimming?

Give it 6 to 8 weeks minimum before submerging your new piercing in a pool, hot tub, lake, or the ocean. nobody wants a bacterial infection to be the souvenir from their beach trip. Everybody heals a little differently, so if you're not sure your piercing's ready, swing by for a free check-up before you jump in.

Who can get a piercing and at what age?

Our professional studio offers safe body piercing services to all adults aged 18 years and up. Select facial and ear cartilage piercings are available for minors aged 13–17, standard earlobe piercings are available for minors aged 10+ provided a parent or legal guardian is physically present at the time of the service. In strict compliance with New York State minor piercing laws, if you cannot have a parent/guardian present or fail to show valid government photo identification (alongside matching state-issued birth certificates or legal guardianship documentation), we unfortunately cannot perform the procedure.

safety standards and practices

Client safety comes first at every appointment. Our piercers use needle-only techniques — never piercing guns, which can cause more tissue trauma and aren't precise enough for cartilage or advanced placements. All initial jewelry is ASTM F-136 implant-grade titanium, niobium, or solid 14k/18k gold. We don't use surgical steel or "mystery metal" jewelry, since those are common culprits behind allergic reactions, irritation, and prolonged healing. It's a higher standard than a lot of shops hold to, and it's one we think is worth it.

healing support and troubleshooting

Cartilage piercings especially (helix, conch, rook, tragus) can get cranky. friction, sleeping on them, weather changes, you name it. That's what our $5 downsize check-up is for. We'll take a look, fix any irritation, and swap in a shorter post or barbell once you're ready to size down. Five bucks for peace of mind is a pretty good deal.

Jewelry material and quality Selection

We only stock jewelry that's actually good for your body — no surgical steel, no unmarked high nickel content metal, and nothing externally threaded (a common source of irritation as jewelry is inserted or removed). Every piece is ASTM F-136 implant-grade titanium, platinum, niobium, or solid 14k/18k gold, with a smooth, mirror-polished finish and either a threadless push-pin or internally threaded design. We carry pieces from Buddha Jewelry, Tawapa, Anatometal, Body Gems, Industrial Strength, Gorilla Glass, and several other well-regarded jewelry makers, so you're getting real quality, not just a display case that looks nice.

What to expect during your Piercing Experience at Our Studio

Walking in, you'll get greeted right away and walked through everything. no confusion, no awkward waiting around wondering what happens next. We'll check your ID (yep, even if you've been here before), talk through jewelry options, and figure out the best placement for your anatomy. Your actual piercing happens in a private, clean room using single-use needles only. no guns, ever. Before you head out, you'll get the full rundown on aftercare, a bottle of saline spray to take home, and we'll get you scheduled for your $5 downsize check-up or you can book online when you want.

reviews

Today I came in with two friends for walk in piercings. We were immediately greeted by a few staff members and we had a very quick waiting time! Our piercer Iggy carefully evaluated each of us based on our anatomy, ran us through the process step-by-step, was open and honest, and answered our questions friendly and thoroughly.
When it was time for our piercings, Iggy our piercer made us laugh several times throughout and helped us when we were nervous. Iggy was EXTREMELY gentle, and of all the places I have been to was the best piercer I have ever had; we all felt so comfortable and the piercing barely felt like a pinch. Iggy also offered me water and helped me when I felt a bit dizzy afterward.
I highly recommend this shop to anyone, and I really believe that it was worth it! The prices are great, the staff is extremely friendly kind and professional, the shop is very clean and beautifully decorated, and we all felt so comfortable and happy with the results that we got!
